BACKGROUND

Detail Junkees was created by David Bayon and is ultimately the result of a lifelong model car builder who realized there needed to be cooler stuff available for the younger generation of model car builders, and by that, we mean primarily: lowriders.

Hip hop themed toys were just a random idea that seemed fun & it immediately lead to more and more ideas and more and more friends' contributions. It was a great way to push our creativity and build on the skill sets that we have already been sharpening through the building of miniatures.

While Detail Junkees is helmed by David, it is by no way a solo project.  In the model car world, you'll see collaborations with artists such as Gavin Roberts of Lowrider Model Car Parts, Joel Mendoza of Ice Man Collections, and several contributions from guys like Andres Camarillo, Francois "Scaleton", Chilly Willie Ramirez, Kasey "Slowlys Models", and many others. 

 

On the hip hop toy side of things, David has had Andres & Francois by his side along with several others such as Tony Abston (Fabkingz), Steven Cromwell (weirdmaker), MyTapePoppedToys, Nostalgik, MSG317, Hence Da Meat, Hip Hop Toyz, DesertOctopus, and likely many more to follow.

All products are limited runs.  Model car parts are usually done in batches of 50.  While there is definitely a plan to keep everything in stock, as a small company, it doesn't make sense.  So get what's available while you can.
